Zusammenfassung: This research project is intended to highlight the importance of the teacher s profile and their role in the classroom during the ESL/EFL process. It makes (helps) us understand that a teachers profile not only includes their academic achievements and teaching experience but also the ongoing training, pedagogic techniques, and methods that continue (to shape our lives) to improve day after day. The (this) research project focuses mainly on the influence teachers have as motivators in the classroom, taking into account the importance of motivation in the teaching/learning process. Most members of the language teaching profession realize that their students learning potential increases when attitudes are positive and motivation runs high. In this project I surveyed a group of students and teachers in the summer English course at UTE. The results led me to conclude that while it seemed these particular students did not receive enough motivation, the underlying fact is that they implicitly received motivation through their teachers and of course their teaching methods. In addition, I surveyed their teachers which proved that with a strong educational background they can increase the number of successful students motivated to go on with their studies. Finally, the results and information obtained through this research project have helped me bring forward some valuable conclusions and advice to be taken into consideration for all those involved in the ESL/EFL process.
